GVFM's Quiz Night
So...did Gateside outsmart Dalry or did Beith beat Kilbirnie?
Garnock Valley FM recently held their first ever quiz night at Beith Bowling Club. The teams were competing for a special prize - the "GVFM Winners Cup".
Well... sort of! The first prize was a specially-printed Quiz Night Mugs just for the winners.
The teams from across the Garnock Valley and beyond battled with the five rounds of questions, with no clear winners (or losers!) right until the end. (View photographs from the Quiz.)
We liked a couple of the team names, including 'And the Winner is...' but our favourite name was 'Quizee Rascal'.
A big thank you to everyone who came along and make it a really enjoyable evening, Louise for helping to be our independant judge, and to Beith Bowling Club for the use of their lovely function suite, to the staff looking after the bar and for helping us during the day.
The station is now looking forward to another Quiz Night and a couple of other fundraising events across the Valley in the 2010. Keep checking the 'Studio Blog' on the website to find out where we'll be next.

Which town will be smarter? I think you’ll find that it was Paisley with a little help from East Kilbride and Beith. Great night, Ben. I’ll drink from my mug and remember GVFM’s first quiz night :D
